Work Trips, Downtime, and Test Results

Things have been busy around here. The week before last Ike went to New York for a few days, then last week I was in New Orleans for a few days. So we've both been happy to get home. We've had some nice weekends, weatherwise and also just enjoying the downtime. The weekend after Ike got home we received the news that Natalie has tested into the gifted and talented program at the Vanguard elementary school in our district. So that was very exciting! So we know where she's going to school in the Fall. That weekend we enjoyed the playground and also had family game night with Natalie and Owen. We let Natalie decide our dinner plans that night and we went out for frozen yogurt to celebrate her news. Owen has also been enjoying watching college basketball with Ike. Last weekend we went to the children's festival Saturday. Nat and Owen went on some rides, and like last year, Owen needed a few minutes to decide that he liked it. I love watching his face! Saturday night we had our friends over for pizza and playtime for the kids. Sunday was another playground day, and the kids got into the Easter spirit when they opened their Easter goodies from Grandma Laura and Grandpa Roger. So we're getting ready for school egg hunts tomorrow and then a fun weekend with a trip to New Orleans, and a visit from the Easter Bunny!
