Dancing Days

We stayed around the house most of the weekend (waiting for baby news from Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Eric - welcome, little Carrie Elizabeth!!), and so we spent a lot of time playing, listening to music, and dancing (well, Natalie and Owen danced!). Natalie is an accomplished dancer and music lover, but Owen has now started dancing while standing alone (not holding on to furniture or sitting and bopping his head). They both love to dance! As we mentioned, Carrie was born on Sunday morning, and we are all excited, but Natalie is especially so. She asked all weekend (since Friday) when her cousin was coming, and after Sunday morning, she kept talking about visiting Carrie. We are all looking forward to meeting Carrie over Thanksgiving.

Natalie continues to amaze us with the things she says. On Friday, we were picking up Owen from his class, and it was one of his teacher's birthday. There were balloons and signs up, and Natalie looked around and said, "There was a celebration here today." Celebration? Wow! Another of our favorite things she says, is: "That's a good 'dea!" She's learning to say i-dea now. Also over the weekend, we picked Daddy up from dropping off the other car, and when he got in, Natalie said: "I was worried about you, Daddy." Such a sweetie! We did take advantage of the warm weather on Saturday and take a family walk. Natalie enjoyed the leaves, but Owen was most interested in hugging Stella and checking out where she was. On Sunday, Aunt Karen came out for a visit, and helped referee the tussling for toys between Natalie and Owen.

This week Mom has to go to New Orleans for work again. Dad should be okay since he has one of these under his belt, but we'll all be happy when Mom gets home!
